Having a hard time understanding credit and how it affects you? This workshop covers the basics of reading a credit report and explains the credit score and scoring models. Here are some of the things we want you to understand about credit:
- Having good credit is important in navigating your personal finances – it will help you get loans with better interest rates, obtain housing, avoid deposits for utilities, and may even facilitate getting a good job.
- You don’t have to be rich to have good credit, but you need to understand how credit works and how to make it work for you.
- There are free resources to help you build your credit score and the Roxbury Center can connect you with such resources.
If time permits, we can also pull your credit score and review it with you.
