Getting ahead is hard, and the City of Boston understands. The City, in conjunction with generous help from the United Way and Local Initiative Support Corporation (LISC Boston), is now offering combined, comprehensive services for personal wealth building to help you reach your personal financial dreams. At several different locations in Boston you can now get free financial coaching, help with getting a job, or access and strategies to obtain a better job. And if you need help with benefits like getting your taxes done, signing up for health care or SNAP (food stamps), or finding housing—we can help with that too.
Through two new locations, the Roxbury Center for Financial Empowerment and the Jewish Vocational Service Center for Economic Opportunity, eligible Bostonians can obtain free access to a personal financial coach, a career specialist, a whole menu of additional resources, such as income supports and workforce development. To get started, all you need to do is come into the Roxbury Center in Dudley Square or JVS downtown at 75 Federal Street and attend an orientation session. If you are motivated for a long term relationship with the team to identify and work towards your goals—please come see us!
