Getting ahead is hard: Mayor Walsh and the City of Boston understand. The City, in conjunction with generous help from United Way and Local Initiative Support Corporation (LISC Boston), offers combined, comprehensive services for personal wealth building to help you reach your personal financial dreams. You can now get free financial coaching, help with getting a job, or access and strategies to obtain a better job. And if you need help with benefits like getting your taxes done, signing up for health care or SNAP (food stamps), or finding housing—we can help with that too.
At the Roxbury Center for Financial Empowerment, residents can work for free with their own personal financial coach, a career specialist, and a whole menu of additional resources, such as income support and workforce development. To get started, all you need to do is come into the Roxbury Center in Dudley Square or JVS downtown at 75 Federal Street and attend an orientation session. If you are motivated for a long term relationship with the team to identify and work towards your goals over 18-24 months—please come see us!
Orientation sessions take 50 minutes and are offered every Monday and Wednesday at 10:00 am and the third Wednesday of each month at 6 pm at our Dudley Square location.
